Government Agencies
- The National Institutes of Health has opened its own
ClinicalTrials.gov website to provide
current information about research studies. It's searchable by
disease/condition, keywords, or browsable by disease or study
sponsor.
- You can now get FREE access to Medline, the online medical
search database from the National Library
of Medicine. It's the world's largest collection of published medical
research papers. I just tried a search on the word, Crohn, and it gave
back 532 hits in just the last year!
- The official web site of The National Institute of Diabetes and
Digestive
and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has been updated and reorganized. In its
mission to conduct and support research on kidney, urologic, hematologic,
digestive, metabolic, and endocrine diseases, the NIDDK also provides a
wealth of easy-to-read health information for the public.
