Print Info
If you would like a photo-quality print of the image you were just looking
at, follow the instructions on this page.
First, let me explain what you will get, and what choices you have.
- Prints come in basically two sizes: 8.5x11 inches (letter), and 13x19
inches (Super B). That's the size of the paper, actually. The print itself
will be approximately 6x9 inches and 11x17 inches, respectively.
- You have a choice of four paper surface finishes for a 8.5x11 size
print: Glossy, Semi-glossy, Lustre, and Matte. For a 13x19 print your
choices are only Lustre and Matte.
- Photos are printed on an Epson Stylus Photo 2200 printer, using Epson
inks, and Epson paper. The paper and ink are certified by Epson to last for
56 to 71 years (depending on the paper used.) I don't know how they know this, since none of this stuff has been
around for that long, but that's what they say.
- Cost of the prints is $30US for 8.5x11, and $60US for the 13x19 print.
This does not include shipping costs. We'll get to that later.
When you know what you want, send an email to me at billr@bu.edu. Please use the words, "Photo
print request" in the Subject of the email, so I will be able to recognize
it in the tons of spam I get. In the email, specify which
photo(s) you want. You will find the Image Name below the photo on its
display page. I need
this to make sure we're both talking about the same photo. (If there is no
Image Name on the display page, this means the photo is not available as a
print.) Include a "snail
mail" address to which I can send the finished print. I will be sending all
prints via US Postal Service. For foreign buyers, please be as explicit as
necessary with your address to guard against delivery problems.
Upon receipt of your email, I will reply to confirm your selection. At that
time, I will be able to determine what the shipping cost will be. I will
tell you what the shipping cost will be, and what the total cost will be. I
will give you an address to send your payment to.
All payments must be made by certified check or postal money order, in US
dollars only. The only other option for payment is by using PayPal. I will
not accept personal checks, credit cards or debit cards.
When I've received your payment, and the check clears, I will mail you the
print(s).
